This tutorial was written for those that have a working knowledge of PSP Supplies Needed: Paint Shop Pro (I used 7) Tube of choice Xenofex 1.0 - Baked Earth - free trial here Zero - Radiance - here - scroll down to filter set 4 Supplies (includes scraps and font) - here or here Artwork © Pinuptoons purchased from CILM Scraps © Melissa - Scrappy Expressions Internet Explorer users can drag this arrow down the page to keep track of your place ![]() Let's Begin Open supplies. Open a new image 600 x 600 white background. Add a new raster layer. Select the preset shapes tool - ellipse - antialias checked - line width 30. On the color palette - change the stroke to pattern and select paper 1 - fill is set to null. Draw a cirle about 350 x 350 (I used my ruler and started at 100 across and 100 down and drew out to 450 across and 450 down). Duplicate and then resize 80. Select layer 1 and add drop shadow: 1, 1, 50, 3, #2E0404. Add new raster layer and bring to the top. Change the preset shapes tool to line width 12 and line style diamond. Change the stroke pattern to paper 4 - fill is still null. Draw a cirle about 400 x 400 (I used my ruler and started at 100 across and 100 down and drew out to 500 across and 500 down). Position on the outside of the first circle you drew. Sharpen twice and add drop shadow: 1, 1, 50, 3, #000000. Duplicate and resize 88. Sharpen Now we're going to add our text on a curve. Select your preset tool - ellipse - antialias and create as vector checked - line width 1 and draw a circle big enough to fit just inside the smaller inner circle. Select your text tool. Position your cursor over the top edge of the circle until you see the A. With the A showing - click to bring your text box up. Font is BM Block - size 11 - all caps - stroke is null - fill color is #E2D1B2 - auto kern, floating and antialias checked - type in your text (I added two spaces between each name) to go around and fit just inside the entire inner cirle (refer to mine if necessary). You may need to repeat this step several times until you are happy with the placement of your text. Position text. Once happy, select the vector layer (should be layer 5) on your layer palette and delete. Then select the floating selection - right click and promote to layer. Sharpen and add drop shadow - same as before Select the magic wand - tolerance 20 or so - feather 0 - sample merged checked and click inside the inner white circle. Selections - modify - expand 4. Copy and paste paper 4 as a new layer. Selections - invert - delete - select none - and then move below copy of layer 1. Effects - plug-in filters - xenofex 1.0 - baked earth - select bed of gravel under the settings drop down menu and apply. Effects - plug-in filters - xero - radiance and apply these settings: 53, 27, 153, 128. Select copy of layer 1 and add drop shadow: 4, 4, 50, 5, #2E0404 Copy and paste the ribbon as a new layer and move below layer copy of layer 1. Position (refer to mine if necessary). Use your selection tool - select part (not all) of the ribbon on one side and delete. Repeat on the other side. Copy and paste one of the buttons as a new layer and bring to the top. Resize 40. Position and add drop shadow same as before. Duplicate and position on the opposite side. Copy and paste the other button as a new layer and resize 30. Add same drop shadow and position on the right side near the other button. Copy and paste the knotted ribbon as a new layer. Resize 50 - rotate left 25 - sharpen - position on the opposite button and add same drop shadow Hide your background - select one of the other layers and merge visible. Unhide background layer. Place merged layer in the center of your canvas. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer - resize if necessary (I did not resize mine) - position and add drop shadow: -6, -6, 40, 5, #000000. Maximize (open) the stickpins. Use the selection tool and carefully select just the top ball of the yellow stick pin (zoom in if needed). Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 20 - add drop shadow: 1, 1, 50, 5, #000000. Duplicate as many times as necessary and place between each visible name. Add copyright information. Merge all - crop and save as a png That's it!
